SISTRUNK ART EXHIBIT 
February

Sistrunk’s annual Art Exhibit was founded as a means of capturing the essence of Sistrunk on canvass and showcasing the artistic abilities of some of Broward County's talented artists.  Through the years, the organization has amassed an extensive collection of beautiful artwork.  The artwork is on display throughout the month of February.

SISTRUNK PARADE
February 25, 2012

The 2012 Sistrunk Parade is coming to town!  The Parade will be filled with marching bands, steppers stepping, drill teams twirling, and decorated floats ridden by local businesses and politicians.  The Parade will be closed out by the amazing Caribbean Carnival Dancers – all decked out in their costumes and finery – and the rest of the day will be filled with fun from the Street Festival.  Mark your calendar so you can be at the 2012 Annual Sistrunk Parade, scheduled for Saturday, February 25^th!

SISTRUNK STREET FESTIVAL
February 25, 2012

For more than 30 years, people from throughout Florida and beyond have attended this event. The Street Festival offers plenty of food, arts & crafts, merchandise and information vendors, a health fair, and live local and national entertainment. Let’s all hope for perfect weather so that everyone can enjoy the mouth-watering food, shopping with the vendors, checking personal health at the Health Fair, getting vital information from the information booths, and partying to the various types of entertainment that will occupy two stages throughout the day.

The Sistrunk Street Festival provides a means for the community to gather for a day of fun-in-the-sun and wholesome family-centric activities.  You won’t want to miss this event!

BRIGHTSTAR CREDIT UNION SISTRUNK GALA BANQUET
March 25, 2012

A combination of a fundraiser dinner, entertainment show, and award ceremony, this event has fast become one of the most prominent Sistrunk events.
 
The objectives of the event are to raise funds for our scholarship program, and show appreciation and recognition to those who have diligently worked to uplift our community.

SISTRUNK SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Each year, Sistrunk awards scholarships to deserving students within the Broward County school district who are furthering their education in institutions of higher learning. To date, Sistrunk has awarded more than $20,000 in scholarships to students who may otherwise have been unable to fulfill their educational goals due to financial constraints. Scholarships have already been awarded for the 2011-2012 school year, but we openly accept donations and contributions to the Scholarship Program on a year-round basis.
