SISTRUNK GOLF TOURNAMENT
October 9, 2010

Join us in our inaugural golf tournament as we raise funds for our Scholarship Program. Scheduled for October 9 at the Inverrary Golf and Country Club in Lauderhill, Florida, this event offers 18 holes of golf, phenomenal hole-in-one prizes, and fun and challenges for the average and advanced player. An awards luncheon will follow the tournament. Cost is $100 per individual player, $400 per foursome.

SISTRUNK ART EXHIBIT
February

Sistrunk’s annual Art Exhibit was founded as a means of capturing the essence of Sistrunk on canvass and showcasing the artistic abilities of some of Broward County’s talented artists. Through the years, the organization has amassed an extensive collection of beautiful artwork. The artwork is on display throughout the month of February.

SISTRUNK PARADE
February 26, 2011

One of Broward County’s oldest and most anticipated events returns every February as the annual Parade. With hundreds of participants and thousands of spectators in attendance, the parade travels down historic Sistrunk Boulevard and ends with a big Street Festival. This is a free event – everyone loves the Sistrunk Parade!

SISTRUNK STREET FESTIVAL
February 26, 2011

For 30 years, more than 300,000 people have attended this event. The Festival offers plenty of food, arts & crafts, merchandise and information vendors, a health fair, and live local and national entertainment. Past performers have included Urban Mystic, Doug E. Fresh, Brisco, and national recording artists Avant and Bobby Valentino. This event has wide appeal to the entire family.

The Festival showcases African-American and Caribbean-American lifestyles and entertainment while providing a means for the community to gather for fun-in-the-sun with quality entertainment and wholesome, family-centric activities.

BRIGHTSTAR CREDIT UNION SISTRUNK GALA BANQUET
June, 2011

A combination of a fundraiser dinner, entertainment show, and award ceremony, this event ahs fast become one of the most prominent Sistrunk events.

The objectives of the event are to raise funds for our schlarship program, and show appreciation and recognition to those who have diligently worked to uplift our community.

SISTRUNK SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Each year, Sistrunk awards scholarships to deserving students within the Broward County school district who are furthering their education in institutions of higher learning. To date, Sistrunk has awarded nearly $10,000 in scholarships to students who may otherwise have been unable to fulfill their educational goals due to financial constraints.
